When did A.P. Indy become a major sire of turf runners? Everyone knows he throws top class dirt routers but this year his progeny have earned $1.8 million on the turf and five of them are stakes winners. The two morning line favorites for the 1 1/2 Northern Dancer on the enormous outer turf course at Woodbine are A.P. Indys - Just as Well, winner of the G3 Arlington Handicap, and Marchfield, winner of the G2 Sky Classic. They are nice horses but my money will be on Quijano. Toss his last race - he got caught up in quick fractions in the Sword Dancer and the race collapsed.  He is a multiple G1 winner and he likes to win (14 of 29 lifetime). He should be able to stalk a moderate pace then outrun the others home. The price is right - 10/1 morning line.
