Oaklawn Park opened on Friday and I'm going to try to support the Arkansas racetrack with my wagering dollars this winter. I consider Oaklawn my home racetrack since it is the closest racetrack to me (only three hours from Memphis). I hope to make it to Hot Springs for a day or two of live racing and perhaps introduce horse racing to my 5yo daughter (let's hope it goes better than my trip with her to the dog track).

3 Kona Kid (12/1) and 4 Wise Kid (7/2) are bred to go long. Wise Kid's trainer Tim Ritchey invades Arkansas from the Mid-Atlantic and might offer some value (Larry Jones had a 24/1 winner yesterday). Morning line favorite 7 Buzzin and Dreamin has the best figs but  is bred to go one turn (by Five Star Day out of a Notebook mare) and will run off the board her.
