I got an email ad for a "New Kentucky Derby Bet!" - The Calder Derby - Kentucky Derby double, joining this weekend's 9f turf Calder Derby with next weekend's big race. I love a horse in each race - Titan of Industry in the Calder Derby and Adriano in the Kentucky Derby. This new bet would be an obvious way to hook up these horses and try to make a big score with a small bet. The small problem is that none of my 4 ADWs carry Calder (or Churchill). Luckily I can drive across the Mississippi River to Southland Greyhound Park and get my bets down. I think I may just have to do that (gimme $100 to win on Titan of Industry and $20 on the Titan of Industry/Adriano double). May I make a return trip to cash these tickets - and not to bet the KY Derby - hopefully those bastards settle whatever differences they have asap so I can bet Derby from the comfort of my own home.

Classes are over. Finals are next week. It'll be all over by Derby day.
