A lot must have been going on in November. I had only twelve betting days and my monthly wagering volume was the lowest since January 2005. I also posted the fewest blog entries since inception. A new baby giving us three kids under five is certainly a factor. So are synthetic surfaces (I completely avoid any races California tracks, cushion or turf). I usually play Churchill in November but I treaded lightly this year. Hopefully I will recover to my normal betting self but I will likely end 2007 with only 1/2 of the betting volume of 2006. Have I matured as a player? Maybe, but I am also bored. The Breeders' Cup gives us one great day but ruins the rest of the year.
