Monday's result
I hit the Pick 4 for the third straight day (though I have only turned a profit on the wager for the last two days). My biggest win bet of the year came through as T. D. Vance took the Troy Stakes and paid $8.60 -- gotta love those turf sprints. With a $120 on the nose and as the key to my rather blunt edged 3x8x1x7 Pick 4 play, T. D. Vance netted me $929. If you subtract off the rest of the card - nothing but losers for me - I earned a profit of $735 from $482 bet. Half way home and I am almost back to even for the meet.

I enter the second half of the meet with renewed optimism but also greater time constraints. As if handicapping the card everyday wasn't enough, I return to teaching next week after a year long sabbatical. My first faculty meeting was this morning -- groan.
