Playing to Win on the AP card
I just finished watching Youbet.com's Playing to Win webcast featuring host Andy Serling and guest Steve Crist. Serling is the main reason I listen to the Siro's webcast. I subscribe to DRF+ just to read Crist's column and I read his Saratoga weblog religiously. Their analysis of the three big stakes races at Arlington Park was excellent and entertaining - no surprise.
My question to Youbet is: Why do you have these two experts dissecting races that aren't even offered to your wagering customers? Why not have them analyze Saratoga and Del Mar or even races from more obscure tracks that your clintele might be less familiar with but where you would make a bigger cut of their potential wagers.
I hope they bring back Playing to Win next year but I doubt it. Youbet appears to be in free fall and if their 3rd quarter numbers are not good (they are the only provider of Saratoga and Del Mar for many parts of the country), their stock might fall to below a dollar per share.
As an aside, here is some action for the Arlington card
All Stakes Pick 3 ($78)
2,3,4,5,8,9/1,3,4,6,7/8 ($30)
1,2,3,4,5,6,8,9/3,4,7/8 ($24)
2,3,4,5,8,9/4/8 ($6)
2,8/1,3,4,6,7/8 ($10)
2,8/3,4,7/8 ($6)
2,8/4/8 ($2)
Arlington Million
$50 Win Danak
