Two winners and two big-time losers. In the third race Deadly Dealer stopped like he’d been shot. In the feature Yes By West was last and never threatened. On the positive side, Warn ($11.20) won the fifth race and Hangingbyathread ($5.90) won the eighth race. $30 win bets on each horse returned $256.50. The total bet yesterday was $255 ($1 in scratches). So I’m up $1.50!

An optional claiming race for jumpers? Does anyone claim jumpers? River Bed has been running against claimers but these are in name only – no one drops much money on 10yo geldings no matter how much upside they might show. Five wins in his last seven races. Enough said. Mark The Shark has been running against better.

Indian Love Call is well bred for the turf and should prefer the two turns of the Saratoga course against the one turn mile at Belmont.

I’m hoping someone runs with Berry Bound to loosen him up for the stretch running Optimistic Steve.

Not much of a Pick Four play today. I’m hoping for a longshot in the first leg and am focusing on horses that are well bred for the turf. If I hit it it won’t pay all that much but $9 is worth it for cheap fun.
