Since I won't be betting the Black Eyed Susan card at Pimlico (thanks to their unwise cancellation of the marquee stakes event - the Pimlico Special), I will throw a few bucks at the 1 1/2 mile Wagon Limit at Belmont Park. This $65k overnight stakes is features Derby-Preakness winner Funny Cide and multiple Grade I winner Evening Attire. Both have gotten long in the tooth. My money will be on the entry of Successful Affair and Malibu Moonshine - at 3/1 you should mortgage the house. I suspect I'll get more like 8/5.

RESULT: Rising Moon ($6.90) won for Dick Dutrow in his fifth career start and his second over the dirt. Funny Cide had a big lead early through relatively soft fractions but faded to third. Evening Attire nearly caught Funny Cide after trailing throughout. As for my wagering entry - Malibu Moonshine finished second and Successful Affair was off the board. I hope you didn't mortgage the house.
