Blue Grass Stakes

I have no clue what to make of this year's renewal of the Blue Grass Stakes. The race was run like a turf route with the horses walking around the track for six furlongs before flying home in under 35 seconds for the last three furlongs. Thanks to Trakus (from Keeneland.com) we can see the exact fractional splits for each horse in the race. The following table has each of the main contender's first 6f, last 3f and breaks down the final 3f from the 3/8ths pole to the finish. This pattern is so foreign to dirt racing and so different from what these horses will see in the Derby that the result is best ignored. If I see Great Hunter at 15-1 and Street Sense at 6-1 (their futures pool odds) I will bet each of them enthusiastically.
