This sucks (MJC cancels the Special)
The Pimlico Special Will Not Be Carded in 2007
MJC has to cut a one of their best races because they don't have slots and all their neighbors do. Weak. Why not cut a few stakes non-graded stakes from the Preakness undercard? I guess that doesn't get as much publicity and sympathy as canceling a Grade I.
There is a now a three month gap between Grade I open route races (from the Big 'Cap on 3/3 until the Stephen Foster on 6/16).
